Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Tropivio operates tropivio.com and is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice, meaning we decide why and how it is processed. You can contact us about privacy through the form at tropivio.com/contact.
2. Data we collect and why
Account data (name, email, login credentials) to create and secure your account. Listing data (property details, photos, contact details) from sellers to publish listings. Messages between buyers and sellers so they can be delivered and replied to. Newsletter data (email, language preference) if you subscribe. Technical data (IP address, device and browser information, usage logs) for security, fraud prevention and improving the service. Support messages you send us to answer your request.
3. Legal basis
We process account, listing and messaging data to perform our contract with you. Security, fraud prevention and service improvement rely on our legitimate interests in running a safe and useful marketplace. Newsletter emails are sent on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Some processing, such as keeping records for tax or accounting, is based on legal obligations.
4. Who we share data with
Paddle.com acts as our Merchant of Record and reseller for all paid packages: when you buy a package, Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing data as its own controller, handles invoicing, tax compliance, subscription management and refunds, and shares order and customer details with us so we can activate your package. We also use service providers (hosting, database, email delivery and analytics tooling) acting on our instructions, professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, and authorities where the law requires it. We never sell your data.
5. International transfers
Tropivio serves users across the Americas and Europe, so your data may be processed outside your own country, including by providers in the EU, the UK and the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses with appropriate safeguards.
6. How long we keep data
Account and listing data are kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months after you close it, so we can handle disputes. Expired listings and their photos are removed within 12 months of expiry. Messages are kept for 24 months. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Order records linked to purchases are kept for as long as tax law requires (normally 7 years). After these periods data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing, ask for portability, and withdraw consent at any time by using the contact form at tropivio.com/contact. We answer within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
Your data is stored on our hosted platform with encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security, so users can only reach the data they are allowed to see. We review access and apply appropriate technical and organisational measures.
9. Cookies
Tropivio uses only strictly necessary storage: your login session and your language preference. Paddle may set cookies needed to complete a checkout. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies; you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though the site may then not work correctly.
10. Contact
